Lead Carpenter

First State Building & Design is looking for a Lead Carpenter experienced in all aspects of residential construction including framing, drywall, flooring, tile, windows, doors and trim work. Basic plumbing and electrical skills are preferred but not required.

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned jobs and managing a crew of 2 additional carpenters/laborers to perform all required tasks. This includes scheduling, material procurement, quality control and client management.

The ideal candidate is prompt, reliable, presentable, great with clients, has their own transportation and tools, and can work independently or lead a crew. A drug test and background check will be required before an offer of employment is made.

First State Building & Design is seeking a Journeyman/Journeywoman Carpenter experienced in all aspects of residential exterior construction with a specialization in deck, porch, additions, and sunroom construction. We specialize in beautifully designed projects in the Southeastern, PA and Northern Delaware regions.

This position will be working in a 3-member team environment to complete required tasks. The ideal candidate is prompt, reliable, presentable, has their own transportation and tools, and can work independently or with others. A drug test will be required before an offer of employment is made.

This position will have a lead carpenter as a supervisor, along with an apprentice.
